Job Summary

Memorial Hermann Health System is seeking a skilled Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement occupational therapy treatment programs as described by an occupational therapist's written plan of care.
  • Provide occupational therapy services under the supervision of the OT, and modify treatments only as allowed by the plan of care.
  • Supervise rehabilitation technicians and others with regards to patient care.
  • Monitor patient's condition and progress towards treatment goals.
  • Motivate and instruct patient/caregivers using appropriate methods.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapist Assistant or an Occupational Therapist program.
  • Current License to practice Occupational Therapy by the Texas Board of Occupational Therapy Examiners.
  • Current Certification in Basic Life Support.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience.
Working Conditions

The position requires occasional to frequent lifting up to pounds and carrying of up to 30 pounds; prolonged standing; frequent walking, stooping and squatting.
