Job Summary

The Occupational Therapy Assistant provides skilled assistance to the Occupational Therapist in accordance with American Occupational Therapy Association Code of Ethics, Standards of Practice and Texas Practice Act.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provides quality care to patients based on established POC/Goals
  • Clinical competence in treating a variety of acute care clients-orthopedic, neurological, medical
  • Proficient in Electronic Medical Records documentation
  • Strong communication skills with internal/external customers
  • Exhibits Professional Behavior
Requirements

Required Minimum Education:

Associate Degree for Occupational Therapy, associated license

Required License/Certification:

American Red Cross or American Heart Association (BLS OR BCLS) Course Completion and Certification; Current License by the Texas State Board of Occupational Therapy Examiners
