Position Overview

The role encompasses a range of administrative and support functions within both primary care and specialized departments. Key duties involve overseeing patient referrals, managing patient registration (when applicable), scheduling appointments, document scanning, and delivering exceptional customer service. Responsibilities also include answering phone calls, welcoming visitors, and performing various clerical tasks. Additionally, the position entails ordering and maintaining office supplies, providing backup support services, and collecting co-payments. Coordinating appointments, including the arrangement of multiple same-day visits across different specialties, is a critical aspect of this role. Interpreter services will be arranged as necessary, along with other clinic-related responsibilities as assigned.

Essential Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 1 year in a medical or healthcare environment; or 2 years in a customer service role.
  • At least 6 months of recent experience in a receptionist or front desk capacity.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 3 months of relevant experience managing recurring appointments.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and basic medical record management.
