As a Clinical Education Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the educational framework for clinical staff, focusing on the development and refinement of clinical competencies and skills across all shifts.

This position prioritizes the application of educational theories and practices to promote professional growth, thereby enhancing the proficiency of staff and ensuring safe, effective patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess the educational needs of clinical staff.
  • Utilize various resources to identify learning requirements and assist in crafting personalized professional development plans.
  • Design and implement educational initiatives tailored to meet the identified needs of staff, offering both individual and group activities that foster clinical expertise based on research and evidence-based practices.
  • Employ appropriate assessment tools to evaluate the effectiveness of learning and make necessary adjustments.
  • Support staff in planning for formal educational advancement, such as pursuing further education or attending professional conferences.
  • Deliver educational materials for specific learning activities, ensuring relevance and accuracy.
  • Review educational resources for adequacy, currency, and evidence-based content.
  • Evaluate learning materials for their applicability to individual and group educational needs.
  • Provide guidance on utilizing online resources and other modalities for knowledge acquisition and learning opportunities.
  • Maintain personal expertise in teaching methodologies and clinical competencies.


Required Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Nursing.
  • Registered Nurse License upon hire.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in nursing leadership, including clinical experience in the relevant service line.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Focus on education with current clinical proficiency in the service area.
  • Certification in the service area and/or Nursing Professional Development (NPD-BC).
  • 3 years of experience in educational theory and effective delivery of education using best practices.
