Job Title: Corporate Tax Manager
Job Summary:
The Corporate Tax Manager is a key role within our organization, responsible for overseeing the preparation of US consolidated federal and consolidated, combined, and separate state income tax returns. This position requires a high level of expertise in taxation and a strong leadership ability to manage a team of tax professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise the preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations.
- Oversee the computation of interim and year-end income tax provisions.
- Review and manage tax returns prepared by the Tax team.
- Lead and mentor a team of Tax professionals.
- Manage tax planning, reporting, and compliance functions.
- Manage tax accounting staff, conduct selection interviews, coach, train, conduct performance evaluation, and motivate employees.
- Evaluate the tax implications of company activities and develop strategies to minimize tax obligations.
- Provide input into developing the country budget.
- Assist the Tax Director in all external federal, state, and local income tax audits.
- Analyze and prepare all supporting documentation to any Tax related information document requests.
- Assist the Tax Director in federal/state tax credit generation projects, Tax planning, and other ad hoc projects.
- Adhere to internal standards, policies, and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance.
- Minimum 5+ years of direct transferable experience in corporate Tax.
- 1-3 years supervisory experience.
- Prior international experience or working in a multicultural environment managing international projects.
- Master's Degree in Taxation preferred in combination with experience outlined above.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
- Advanced level proficiency in English.
- Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong business acumen/business awareness with solid technical and analytical background.
- Strong attention to detail with good organizational and inter-personal skills.
- Excellent professional written and verbal communication.
- Ability to think creatively and clearly express vision and ideas.
- Ability to analyze data and information and develop workable, compliant, and creative solutions.
- Capability to thrive in a fast-paced and highly demanding environment.
- Leadership abilities and skills.
