Position Summary

J.McLaughlin, a prominent American Sportswear and Accessories brand based in New York, is recognized for its commitment to local communities and personalized customer service. We are seeking a Head of Growth Marketing to oversee both paid and organic media strategies across all retention and acquisition channels. This role reports directly to the Chief Marketing Officer and collaborates closely with various marketing divisions, as well as merchandising, ecommerce, product, and retail teams. The successful candidate will employ a test-and-learn methodology to enhance brand visibility, attract new customers, and bolster existing consumer loyalty.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate organic social media strategies and guide the team in execution to boost engagement, follower growth, and brand recognition.
  • Manage and optimize the customer journey from initial visit to purchase, demonstrating proficiency across multiple channels.
  • Oversee substantial marketing budgets, ensuring effective deployment to meet key performance indicators.
  • Understand how brands cultivate awareness, achieve efficient customer acquisition, and assess performance in the digital consumer landscape.
  • Expertise in analytics and testing methodologies, including incrementality and A/B testing, with experience using BI tools such as Looker, Tableau, and Google Analytics.
  • Mentor and develop junior team members, fostering their growth within the organization.
  • Collaborate with the creative team to develop content and communicate results for ongoing enhancement.
  • Stay updated on the evolving media landscape, including cookie depreciation, while identifying industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies.
  • Manage the marketing budget with a focus on identifying reinvestment opportunities in successful tactics.
  • Data-driven and results-oriented, capable of justifying expenditures and success metrics to the executive team.
  • Possess an entrepreneurial spirit with a passion for high-end retail and customer engagement.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in acquisition and retention marketing across various platforms, including Google, Bing, Meta, TikTok, Pinterest, email, SMS, and loyalty programs.
  • In-depth knowledge of paid media platforms and their content requirements.
  • Exceptional budget management skills with the ability to quickly identify reinvestment opportunities.
  • Comprehensive understanding of funnel data, benchmarks, and success metrics, coupled with strong analytical capabilities.
  • Excellent project management skills.
  • Ability to execute detailed tasks and projects with minimal supervision.
  • Experience in luxury retail and consumer brands.
  • Organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • A proactive self-starter who contributes creative ideas and insights.
  • Adaptability to shifting priorities.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, both independently and collaboratively.
  • A collaborative team player with a positive approach to all responsibilities.
  • Experience managing at least one direct report.
