Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced LTL Account Service Analyst to join our team at Geodis. As a key member of our logistics operations team, you will be responsible for growing revenue, margin, and load count for assigned accounts by securing profitable spot freight and managing LTL carrier relationships.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and analyze customer requirements to ensure that the level of service provided meets or exceeds customer expectations.
  • Actively quote spot freight opportunities and increase win percentage by representing the value proposition of direct LTL carrier relationships.
  • Enter load details in TMS (MercuryGate); coordinate appointment setting with customer and execute highly proactive communication with customer.
  • Work with LTL providers to ensure that all client shipments are proactively booked and tracked for on-time pickup or delivery.
  • Use various transportation systems to coordinate movement of freight, to meet customers' rate and service time requirements.
  • Set and meet deadlines as per customer expectations.
  • Deliver against growth and profitability targets.
  • Research and determine growth opportunities within each customer. Lead efforts to increase efficiency and profitability of operations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain/Logistics, Business Management, Entrepreneurship, Marketing or related studies preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of related experience with a heavy concentration on LTL brokerage operations.
  • Experience with Transportation Management Systems, market rate tools/software, analysis with large data sets.
  • PC literate with experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Access and Excel.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills that demonstrate a proven ability to develop relationships with a range of internal and external customers.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of domestic transportation and documentation for all utilized modes of transport.
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance associated with US truck freight brokerage.
