Job Description

Samsung SDS America is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Logistics Transportation Coordinator to manage all aspects of logistics, including quoting, booking shipments, customs clearance, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of relevant experience in freight forwarding or logistics industry. They will be responsible for analyzing service and cost data for recommendations or actions for business improvement and customer satisfaction.

The Logistics Transportation Coordinator will be responsible for:

  • Quoting and Booking:
    • Handle the quoting and booking of shipments
    • Secure all necessary documents for import customs clearance
  • Communication and Updates:
    • Keep internal customers informed about the status of each shipment
    • Ensure timely and accurate communication to stakeholders
  • Support Operation:
    • Book, track, and trace cargo from supplier to destination (FTL/LTL/AIR/PARCEL)
    • Provide excellent customer service and troubleshoot/resolve all events from booking to delivery in a timely way
  • Strategic Planning:
    • Develop plans to align organizational objectives with achievable targets
    • Work towards meeting leadership expectations in terms of logistics efficiency
  • Reporting & Filing:
    • Generate daily, weekly, and monthly reports to provide comprehensive shipment status
    • Analyze data and provide insights to improve logistics processes

The Logistics Transportation Coordinator will work closely with the logistics service providers to coordinate with vessel schedules, manage documentation, and ensure timely payments with the accounting department.

The ideal candidate will have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work well under pressure and have a sense of urgency. They will be proficient in Microsoft Office applications and have a strong work ethic.
