Job Summary:The Guest Services Agent is responsible for providing exceptional service to guests during check-in, throughout their stay, and at checkout, while maximizing room revenue and occupancy.
Responsibilities:- Guest Service: Greet and welcome guests, answer inquiries, and provide information about hotel services and facilities.
- Front Desk Operations: Maintain proper operation of the PBX console, ensure logging and delivery of packages, mail, and messages, and review the Front Office log and Trace File daily.
- Customer Service: Answer guest inquiries about restaurants, transportation, entertainment, and other services, and follow all cash handling and credit policies.
- Knowledge and Skills: Be aware of all rates, packages, and special promotions, be familiar with hospitality terminology, and have knowledge of emergency procedures.
- Communication: Use proper two-way radio etiquette, fully comprehend and operate all relevant aspects of the Front Desk computer system, and be able to perform and complete all tasks and duties on the shift checklist.
- Education: High School diploma or equivalent required, college coursework in a related field helpful.
- Experience: Experience in a hotel or related field preferred, customer service experience a plus.
- Skills: Computer experience required, ability to multitask, prioritize, and maintain a warm and friendly demeanor.
- Physical Demands: Light work, exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
