Job Title: Director of Relationship Management and Prospect Analytics

At Johns Hopkins University, we are seeking an experienced and strategic individual to lead our Relationship Management and Development Analytics team. As the Director of Relationship Management and Prospect Analytics, you will play a critical role in supporting the institution's fundraising initiatives by providing strategic vision and planning.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement effective prospect management tools and methods, including data mining and predictive modeling.
  • Manage the Relationship Management and Development Analytics team, ensuring coordination and alignment between teams.
  • Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of the University's top prospects to inform fundraising strategies.
  • Provide meaningful metrics for fundraising activities and collaborate with gift officers to develop high-capacity portfolios.
  • Work with leadership and Development Research to ensure sufficient prospects for fundraising initiatives.
  • Create and maintain a suite of tools for descriptive and predictive analytics.
  • Implement prospect management guidelines and procedures, serving as a content expert.
  • Supervise staff, set departmental and individual goals, and provide routine evaluations.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
  • A minimum of five years of progressively responsible positions in higher education prospect development or a related field is required.
  • Three years of related management experience is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Seven years' experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in conceptualizing and developing proactive prospecting methodologies using tools such as constituent list segmentation, data mining, and electronic and peer screenings.
  • Understanding of wealth indicators and ability to translate such information into prospect ratings and gift estimates.
  • Experience in data analytics, comprehensive biographical or genealogical research, and/or financial analysis.
  • Ability to manipulate, analyze, and synthesize data using data warehousing and mining tools.
  • Experience with Salesforce CRM is preferred.
