Front Desk Representative

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Front Desk Associate to join our team at Hampton Inn-Downtown.
Job SummaryThe Front Desk Associate will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, handling guest inquiries, and maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the front desk area and common areas.
Key Responsibilities- Greeting and Welcoming Guests: Greet and welcome guests upon arrival, providing prompt and professional service in a hospitable manner.
- Phone and Email Management: Answer incoming calls and direct to the appropriate party or department, taking accurate messages when necessary.
- Front Desk Maintenance: Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the front desk area and common areas.
- Adherence to Company Policies: Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
- Confidentiality and Discretion: Handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Guest Record Management: Update and maintain guest records in the reservation system.
- Payment Processing: Process payments and reconcile cash drawer at the end of each shift.
- Reporting: Generate reports as needed.
- Physical Demands: Stand up for 6-8 hours each day.
- Transaction Handling: Handle check-in, check-out, and other transaction inquiries.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: 1-2 years customer service experience.
- Skills: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Friendly and outgoing personality. Ability to stay calm and professional under pressure. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Previous Experience: Previous experience working in a hotel or related industry.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with computers and software programs, including Microsoft Office and property management systems.
