Key Responsibilities:
The primary focus of the Account Manager is to uphold client satisfaction and retention through the provision of timely, consistent, and high-quality service. Previous experience with a Construction book is highly valued.
Essential Duties:
- Prepare comprehensive submissions to insurance carriers on behalf of clients or prospects.
- Analyze and review quotations received from carriers.
- Develop professional and precise proposals for client presentations.
- Create accurate summaries for existing clients.
- Ensure endorsements are reviewed for correctness.
- Manage premium audits and assist clients during disputes.
- Generate certificates of insurance.
- Conduct contract reviews regarding insurance stipulations.
- Prepare and deliver timely binders and invoices upon coverage binding, including securing premium financing when necessary.
- Review newly issued policies for accuracy prior to client delivery.
- Maintain timely and professional follow-ups with clients, carriers, producers, and colleagues.
- Organize and prioritize workload, including tasks delegated to Account Assistants.
- Conduct monthly renewal meetings with producers and fellow Account Managers.
- Stay updated on underwriting requirements and authority as outlined by each carrier.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Commercial insurance is required.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications: Word, Excel, Outlook.
- Experience with Agency Management Systems, preferably AMS Sagitta.
- A strong work ethic characterized by timely follow-up, teamwork, proactivity, attention to detail, and reliability.
- Ability to work independently.
- A valid Resident State Insurance License is necessary.
- A college degree is preferred.
