Job Summary

As an Account Manager Associate - Commercial, you will provide administrative and customer service support to account teams, producers, and assigned groups of accounts. You will work with minimal direction from an Account Manager, Account Executive, or Producer, following established industry and company guidelines. Your goal will be to ensure beneficial outcomes for clients and IOA.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain an intermediate understanding of technical competence and industry/market expertise.
  • Exercise discretion and independent judgment with respect to account management.
  • Assist in directing day-to-day activities and workflow assigned to Team Support/Receptionist, Account Assistant, and/or Account Associate.
  • Manage customer service and value-added service requests/inquiries, including account activity, policy administration, and insurance placement.
  • Manage policy expirations and renewals, ensuring accurate and timely issuance of policies.
  • Process tasks accurately and within required timeframes.
  • Monitor Accounts Receivables and take action on delinquent accounts.
  • Enter data into agency management systems and carrier/vendor online platforms.
  • Maintain frequent and transparent communication with account teams regarding client service and policy administration activities.
  • Deliver excellent service at all times, anticipating needs and responding quickly to service requests.
  • Continually stay abreast of company policies and procedures to ensure good knowledge, execution, and compliance.
  • Continually seek to improve individual and team performance, identifying and adopting best practices.
Requirements
  • 7+ years of customer service experience in the insurance industry.
  • Good working knowledge of insurance brokerage business and assigned clients' needs.
  • All required active licensing.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Excellent multi-tasking, organizational, and prioritization skills.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to perform with high degrees of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • PC proficiency, including basic knowledge of MS Office products.
  • Exceptional personal character.
  • High School Diploma (or equivalent).
