Key Responsibilities
  • Account Review: Conduct thorough reviews of accounts to discover overdue payments and identify opportunities for collection.

  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of account status and collection efforts.
  • Reporting: Provide regular reports on collection activity and present to management.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Recruitment and Staffing: Assist with recruitment and staffing efforts, including job posting and advertising, screening and interviewing, and onboarding new hires.
  • Employee Relations: Provide support for staff issues, including conflict resolution, employee support, and policy enforcement.
  • Compliance and Regulatory Issues: Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations, including licensing and certification, health and safety regulations, and employment law.
  • Training and Development: Organize training programs to enhance skills and knowledge of employees, including professional development, continuing education, and leadership training.
  • Compensation and Benefits: Assist with salary administration, benefits management, and payroll processing.
  • Performance Management: Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback to employees, assist in setting performance goals, and develop programs to recognize and reward high-performing employees.
  • Workforce Planning: Analyze and forecast staffing needs, develop strategies for replacing key staff members, and plan for future staffing needs.
  • Employee Health and Wellness: Implement programs to promote physical and mental well-being, provide resources for employees dealing with personal or work-related issues.
  • Record Keeping and Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and compliance documentation.
  • Strategic Planning: Collaborate with leadership to develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the agency's goals, manage organizational changes and transitions.
Qualifications
  • Education: High school diploma/GED required, a college degree is preferred.
  • Experience: Previous experience as a Collection Specialist or in a similar position.
  • Skills: Understanding of collection techniques, knowledge of debt collection laws and regulations, familiarity with Microsoft Office, Excel, and computer databases, ability to work well under pressure, excellent communication and negotiation skills.
