Responsibilities
- Collect and store specimens according to established procedures.
- Properly explain the process of venipuncture and other specimen collection procedures.
- Demonstrate technique using straight needles and/or butterfly needles.
- Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required by test order.
- Package specimens for transport.
- Store specimen samples according to required temperature and accurately label.
Requirements
- Three years of phlebotomy experience required.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
