Job Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Commercial Construction Superintendent to lead our team in delivering large-scale commercial construction projects. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of project management, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee all aspects of construction project management, including planning, coordination, and execution.
  • Supervise onsite personnel and subcontractors, ensuring that all work is carried out in accordance with project plans, safety regulations, and quality standards.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and ensure adherence to plans and specifications.
  • Coordinate with project managers, architects, engineers, and other construction professionals to resolve any issues or discrepancies that may arise during construction.
  • Implement and maintain quality control procedures, ensuring that all work meets or exceeds the required quality standards.
  • Prepare and submit regular project reports, detailing progress, issues, and resolutions, to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Foster a positive and safe work environment, promoting teamwork, communication, and problem-solving among the construction team.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Construction Superintendent or in a similar role in the commercial construction industry.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing large-scale commercial construction projects from start to finish.
  • Extensive knowledge of construction processes, materials, and quality control procedures.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to supervise and motivate onsite personnel and subcontractors.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to resolve issues and discrepancies quickly and effectively.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with project managers, architects, engineers, and other construction professionals.
  • Proficiency in using construction management software and other relevant computer applications.
  • A degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • Certifications in construction safety and quality control would be an advantage.
  • A valid driver's license and the ability to travel to different project sites as needed.
