Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning & Coordination: Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of commercial ground-up and tenant improvement projects. Develop comprehensive project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
  • Team Management: Oversee and manage project teams, including subcontractors, vendors, and site personnel. Ensure clear communication and coordination among all parties to drive project success.
  • Client Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, managing expectations and ensuring satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle. Conduct regular meetings to update clients on project progress.
  • Safety Oversight: Implement and enforce strict safety protocols in compliance with OSHA regulations and company policies. Conduct safety meetings and site inspections to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that all work is performed to the highest standards of quality and in compliance with project specifications. Conduct regular inspections and promptly address any quality issues.
  • Financial Management: Monitor and control project costs, including budget tracking, forecasting, and managing change orders. Ensure that projects are completed within the approved budget.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed and accurate project documentation, including contracts, schedules, progress reports, and change orders. Provide regular status reports to senior management.
  • Problem Solving: Identify potential issues and proactively develop solutions to keep projects on track. Resolve conflicts and manage risk to minimize project disruptions.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of experience in construction project management, with a focus on commercial ground-up and tenant improvement projects.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field. Equivalent experience may be considered.
  • Certifications: PMP, LEED AP, or other relevant certifications are preferred.
  • Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of commercial construction methods, materials, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under pressure.
  • Strong understanding of building codes, regulations, and permitting processes.
  • Safety: Strong commitment to job site safety and knowledge of OSHA regulations.
