About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Territory Business Development Manager to join our team at Tandem Diabetes Care. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for promoting our innovative diabetes management solutions to healthcare professionals and patients in your assigned territory.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute strategic business plans to drive sales growth and meet or exceed sales targets
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and other key stakeholders
  • Provide education and support to patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals on the use of insulin pump therapy
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and pursue new business opportunities
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends, competitor activity, and market developments to inform sales strategies
Requirements
  • BS/BA from a four-year college or university plus 3 years of related industry sales experience; preferably in one or more of the following areas: diabetes, endocrinology, insulin infusion pumps, and managed care
  • Ability to travel at least 80% in your assigned territory; must maintain a valid driver's license and required auto insurance as well as good driving record, per company policy
  • Motivation and drive to meet and even exceed sales goals
  • Ability to relate effectively with patients, referral sources, and healthcare professionals
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with customers to resolve issues and answer questions according to company protocols and requirements
  • Ability to assert own ideas and persuade others through effectively consolidating, evaluating, and presenting relevant information
  • Skilled at promoting team cooperation and commitment to team success
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing market and see change as an opportunity to improve business performance and will campaign for it when necessary
