Legal Support Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated Legal Support Specialist to assist our legal team in various administrative and operational tasks.
Key ResponsibilitiesPrimary duties include:
- Organizing calendars, coordinating appointments, and ensuring compliance with attorney deadlines.
- Overseeing electronic case files and maintaining physical case documentation.
- Collecting and compiling pertinent facts and information for legal proceedings.
- Supporting attorneys in preparation for court appearances, depositions, and trials.
- Drafting legal documents including pleadings, motions, and other necessary paperwork.
- Exhibiting strong writing capabilities.
- Executing general clerical tasks such as answering calls, filing, and photocopying.
- Reviewing legal documents, including settlement stipulations.
- Uploading legal documents to the New York State Court Electronic Filing System (NYSCEF).
- Entering data into LTX and BJ Murray software; familiarity with these programs is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Maintaining client communication to keep them informed about case developments.
- Monitoring case expenses by verifying outstanding balances with attorneys, clients, and service providers.
- Safeguarding confidential information to protect the firm’s interests.
- Performing additional responsibilities as required.

- Exceptional time management and prioritization skills to meet deadlines.
- Proficient in handling both electronic and physical documents.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A team-oriented mindset.
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- A paralegal certificate from an ABA-accredited program is highly preferred.
- Completion of business school training as a secretary is beneficial.
- A minimum of two years of relevant experience is required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks with flexibility in a dynamic environment.
