Salary and Benefits

  • Compensation: $275,000 - $350,000 annually
  • Paid Time Off: 50-55 days per year, including annual leave, sick leave, and federal holidays

Position Details

This role is for a full-time, permanent position within the medical officer series. The successful candidate will work within a multidisciplinary cancer care team.

We are looking for a dedicated physician with a focus on both malignant and benign hematology, as well as oncology. Candidates must hold a full and unrestricted medical license from any U.S. state.


Responsibilities

The selected physician will:

  • Conduct thorough clinical assessments, including history-taking and physical examinations.
  • Diagnose and manage hematologic and oncologic emergencies.
  • Provide inpatient care, including rounding with residents and fellows.
  • Perform necessary procedures such as bone marrow biopsies and peripheral smear analyses.
  • Prescribe chemotherapy and manage treatment plans for patients.
  • Engage in educational activities for fellows and residents.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Qualifications

To qualify for this position, candidates must meet the following:

  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Medical degree from an accredited institution
  • Completion of residency training in an accredited program
  • Board certification in Internal Medicine and eligibility in Hematology and/or Oncology
  • Proficiency in English, both written and spoken
