Position Overview

Salary and Benefits

The annual compensation for this role ranges from $275,000 to $350,000. The final salary will be determined through a formal pay-setting process that considers education and experience.

Job Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be expected to:

  • Conduct thorough clinical assessments, including history-taking and physical examinations.
  • Diagnose and manage both hematologic and oncologic emergencies.
  • Supervise residents and fellows during inpatient rounds.
  • Participate in weekend and holiday coverage as part of a team.
  • Perform essential procedures such as bone marrow biopsies and peripheral smear analyses.
  • Prescribe chemotherapy and manage treatment plans within the defined scope of practice.
  • Engage in multidisciplinary tumor boards and collaborate with various specialties.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient interactions in the electronic medical record system.

Qualifications

To be eligible for this position, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • U.S. Citizenship.
  • Medical degree from an accredited institution.
  • Current, unrestricted medical license to practice in any U.S. state.
  • Completion of residency training in an accredited program, leading to board certification eligibility.
  • Board certification in Internal Medicine and board eligibility in Hematology and/or Oncology.

Work Schedule

The standard work hours for this position are Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
