Shift Details: Monday - Friday, 7.5 hours per day (10:00 AM - 6:00 PM or 9:30 AM - 5:30 PM)

We are seeking a certified Medical Office Assistant to join our healthcare team at NavitsPartners, providing essential clinical and administrative support to physicians and surgeons. This role is crucial to maintaining quality patient care and efficient office operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Patient Care Support: Assist with patient care duties, including venipuncture, EKGs, taking vital signs, and escorting patients to exam rooms. Prepare patients for exams and assist physicians during procedures.
  • Administrative Duties: Manage patient records, send and receive medical records, and obtain lab and referral information. Utilize the electronic medical record (EMR) system to enter orders and prepare prescription refill requests.
  • Supply and Equipment Management: Inventory and restock medical supplies, check expiration dates on medications, and ensure sterilization and infection control procedures are followed.
  • Safety and Compliance: Maintain a safe work environment, adhere to legal regulations, and follow personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.
  • Chart Maintenance and Scheduling: Update and file medical charts, assist with scheduling surgeries, and perform phlebotomy duties as required. Handle patient appointment scheduling, demographic updates, insurance verification, and pre-certification for procedures.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years as a medical assistant; prior experience in a medical office or phlebotomy setting preferred.
  • Certification: Must have a current Medical Assistant certification from an accredited school.
  • Technical Skills: Basic knowledge of MS Office Suite; familiarity with EPIC is a plus.
  • Additional Skills: Strong communication, time-management, and teamwork abilities; multilingual skills are a plus.

Educational Requirements:

  • Required Education: High School Diploma or GED.

Language Requirements:

  • English: Proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing.
