About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Project Engineer II to join our North American Warehouse Solutions Team at Vanderlande Industries B.V. as a Senior Electrical Design Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and developing electrical systems for automated warehouses and parcel sortation systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop electrical systems that meet customer specifications and optimize system functionality within budget.
  • Perform system and component level calculations to size components and equipment for the application.
  • Engineer project specials for non-standard design applications.
  • Apply safety regulations and specify electrical equipment required for the complete electrical system.
  • Use software tools to develop electrical designs, including wiring diagrams, termination lists, and Bill of Materials.
  • Document all engineering decisions through design plans, installation files, and engineering instructions.
  • Travel to site as needed to conduct site surveys and support installation and commissioning.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology with 2 years of related work experience.
  • Or Associate Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology with 5 years related work experience.
  • Ability to think conceptually and translate into detailed system design.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in an entrepreneurial organization.
  • Ability to handle time-sensitive situations and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new situations.
  • Proactive and able to work autonomously or in a team.
  • Strong team mentality and willingness to accept responsibility for project completion.
  • Ability to properly prioritize work and activities.
  • Possess a strong ability to solve problems and research solutions.
  • Good interpersonal, verbal, and written skills.
  • Ability to drive process improvements.
  • Knowledge of electrical engineering theories and principles.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Ability to use AutoCAD Electrical or other drafting tools.
  • Basic knowledge or familiarity of OSHA 1910/29 Occupational Safety and Health Standards.
  • Basic knowledge or familiarity of NFPA 70 National Electrical Code (NEC).
