Vanderlande Industries B.V. is seeking an experienced Electrical Project Engineer I to join our North American Warehouse Solutions Team. As a key member of our engineering project team, you will be responsible for designing and developing automated warehouse and parcel sortation systems that meet our customers' requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Design and Development: Develop code-compliant electrical systems that meet customer specifications, optimize system functionality, and perform system and component-level calculations to size components and equipment.
- System Integration: Collaborate with other disciplines to ensure proper operation, installation, and maintenance of the electrical system.
- Project Management: Manage project documents, including design plans, installation files, and engineering instructions, and ensure timely completion of projects.
- Travel and Site Support: Travel to sites as needed to conduct site surveys, support installation and commissioning, and provide technical assistance to site supervisors and installation subcontractors.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of related work experience or Associate EE/ET with 8 years of related experience.
- Skills: Strong technical skills, creativity, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work autonomously or in a team, and ability to prioritize work and activities.
- Certifications: Expert knowledge of electrical engineering theories and principles, advanced knowledge of NFPA 70, and experience designing UL-rated control cabinets and low-voltage power distribution systems.
- Advanced Knowledge: Advanced knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1910 Occupational Safety and Health Standards, NFPA 70E, NFPA 79, and UL 508A.
- Software Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical, Word, Excel, and Autodesk Suite of tools, including Navisworks.
