About the Role

Pennymac is seeking an experienced Executive Vice President of Research and Fixed Income Investor Relations to join our team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for building and maintaining a comprehensive strategy for fixed income investors, staying abreast of developments in banking as it relates to the portfolio, and overseeing all operational activities to ensure efficient and effective execution in accordance with established policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain relationships with institutional investors, including current and prospective investors in Pennymac issuances (MSR term notes, CRT term notes, private label securitizations)
  • Manage structured products rating agency relationships
  • Monitor and synthesize economic and market data to help inform house views on macroeconomic trends, housing trends, housing finance trends, interest rates, and credit spreads
  • Direct corporate strategic initiatives that impact capital markets and work with senior leadership of multiple departments (Production, Servicing, Finance, IT, etc.) to drive initiatives to completion (i.e., preparation for private label securitization)
  • Enhance existing and develop new reporting across Capital Markets, with an emphasis on greater timeliness and usefulness of reporting, and dissemination of that reporting throughout the broader enterprise
  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • 10+ years of relevant work experience
  • Strong experience working in capital markets and investor relations in the banking industry, including interaction with investors and/or other third parties
  • Fundamental understanding of financial markets, corporate finance, and accounting and knowledge of regulatory and tax issues that drive funding and hybrid capital structures

Compensation

Individual salary may vary based on multiple factors, including specific role, geographic location/market data, and skills and experience. Some roles may be eligible for performance-based compensation and/or stock-based incentives awarded to employees based on company and individual performance. Salary range: $140,000 - $175,000.
