Job Summary

Bon Appetit is seeking a Human Resources Manager to join our team in Cambridge, MA. As a key member of our HR department, you will be responsible for managing HR programs to support business initiatives and collaborating with management to drive organizational performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary HR contact for both Associates and Management, addressing Labor Relations and HR issues.
  • Oversee recruitment for hourly and management staff, partnering with operators to boost retention.
  • Guide management through the employee selection process.
  • Manage employee relations, conducting investigations, and overseeing performance action plans.
  • Coach management on change initiation and best practices implementation in a union environment.
  • Oversee HR-related safety cases and workers' compensation.
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations regarding personnel files.
  • Support performance evaluations as per Bon Appetit standards and manage complex Leave of Absence (LOA) cases.
  • Conduct HR training on various topics, including open communication and legislative updates.
  • Maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive data with high responsibility.
  • Ensure data integrity in HRIS and manage the upkeep of the Associate Portal.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree and 3 to 7 years of experience in exempt-level Human Resources or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred.
  • Advanced Degree, PHR, or SPHR preferred.
  • Experience in Labor Relations, with relevant training or certifications.
  • Strong commitment to confidentiality in handling sensitive HR issues.
  • Proven work ethic, attention to detail, and responsiveness to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Competence in Wage & Hour compliance, various employment laws, and employee relations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS.
