Role Summary

The Senior Accountant is a licensed CPA who collaborates closely with the Controller and various accounting teams, including Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable, across multiple departments. This role is pivotal in managing daily banking operations, reconciling financial accounts, and preparing comprehensive financial reports. The Senior Accountant also serves as a key resource in the absence of the Controller, demonstrating a thorough understanding of all accounting functions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process and record cash receipts from previous transactions to ensure accurate customer account postings.
  • Conduct daily bank reconciliations and monitor the overall cash position of the company.
  • Finalize Accounts Receivable reconciliations at the end of each financial month.
  • Prepare Profit and Loss statements for various branches and oversee accrual processes.
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts to maintain financial accuracy.
  • Manage the fixed asset ledger by documenting new acquisitions and calculating depreciation.
  • Oversee chargeback account reconciliations within the general ledger.
  • Compile the Audit Prepared By Client (PBC) Checklist for financial audits.
  • Conduct various financial analyses, including variance assessments.
  • Assume Controller responsibilities as needed.
  • Assist in the classification of invoices and expense reports for the general ledger.
  • Engage in cross-training initiatives with team members to enhance departmental knowledge.
  • Occasional travel to other company locations may be required.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • CPA certification is mandatory.
  • Proficient in financial software applications.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Ability to maintain a valid driver's license and auto-liability insurance as per state regulations.
