Key ResponsibilitiesThe Residential Property Manager will be responsible for the following key areas:
- Owner Relations:
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with property owners, providing regular updates on vacancies, resident issues, and financial matters.
- Marketing:
- Develop and implement effective marketing strategies to attract and retain qualified residents, including advertising, lead follow-up, and property showings.
- Conduct regular market surveys to stay informed about local market trends.
- Financial Reporting:
- Work closely with the accounting team to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting for property owners.
- Prepare and distribute monthly financial reports to property owners.
- Tenant Relations:
- Develop and execute rental agreements that meet company standards.
- Select and qualify residents, collect deposits and rents, and enforce terms of rental agreements.
- Respond to resident complaints and concerns in a professional and timely manner.
- Oversee eviction proceedings when necessary.
- Develop and implement strategies to retain residents and minimize turnover.
- Facilities Management:
- Assist in scheduling maintenance and repairs to ensure timely completion.
- Negotiate contracts with vendors to secure the best possible rates.
- Conduct regular property inspections to ensure compliance with company standards.
- Respond to emergency maintenance issues in a timely and professional manner.
To be successful in this role, the Residential Property Manager must have:
- A minimum of five years of experience in property management.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Strong knowledge of fair housing laws and anti-discrimination legislation.
- Ability to work autonomously and lead a team.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
A bachelor's degree in a related field and/or a professional designation such as CPM or ARM is preferred.
