The Clinical Psychologist at Rogers Behavioral Health works under the clinical supervision of the administration to develop curriculum, provide clinical supervision and training in a manner that assures the outcomes of treatment can be evaluated and published in peer review.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop clinical training models based on patient needs, ensuring effective implementation and supervision of training programs. Collaborate with program medical directors, programs, and Staff Development to assure that outcome data/studies are conducted on clinical modules. Work with administration and the Rogers Center for Research & Training to assure data is used and published in an appropriate manner. Promote department goals and the mission of the Hospital, communicating goals to fellow staff members and demonstrating measurable goal achievement. Maintain department policies and procedures, including requirements and guidelines from external agencies such as the Joint Commission and State of Wisconsin. Educate new staff to regulations or requirements of those functions that relate to their areas or departments, as directed. Demonstrate understanding of Joint Commission and other regulatory agency compliance regulations, involving self in the learning and application of standards relevant to the partial hospital program. Participate in inservices/seminars and other meetings to increase involvement and awareness of regulations, involving self in the education of other disciplines. Demonstrate understanding of partial hospital regulations and protocol. Participate in Hospital committees, Performance Improvement team meetings and team projects, as directed. Demonstrate punctuality and preparedness, effective communication skills and good organizational skills, contributing in a positive, solution-focused manner. Attend partial hospital meetings, as necessary, actively participating in discussions and recognizing and contributing to activities leading to improvement. Participate in the Performance Improvement program, gaining understanding of the Performance Improvement process and applying the PI model to departmental activities. Participate and/or create PI projects that lead to improvement in other Hospital areas, educating and involving self in the Hospital's and partial hospital's performance improvement plans. Conduct self in a professional manner, demonstrating organizational skills that promote timely response to all inquiries and to task completion, communicating with all individuals in a positive and professional manner. Attempt to resolve individual issues with peers in a positive, calm manner, with a focus on solution, communicating concerns and providing solutions for same. Attend outside seminars to promote professional growth, demonstrating a positive and professional attitude toward parties outside the Hospital (patient families, visitors, vendors, etc.). Comply with the Hospital's policies and procedures, including Human Resources, Infection Control, and Employee Health policies and programs. Project a professional image by wearing appropriate, professional attire.
Requirements:
PhD in Psychology, or PsyD, is required; licensed in the State of Wisconsin. A minimum of five (5) years experience in clinical/supervisory work. Eating disorders experience is preferred, but not required. Be proficient with various software programs and hardware devices.
