Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Development: Formulate and execute a holistic marketing strategy that aligns with The Writing Revolution's mission and objectives; collaborate with diverse teams to ensure unified marketing efforts.
  • Leadership: Inspire and guide a dedicated marketing team; cultivate a culture of collaboration and innovation.
  • Brand Development: Work alongside the Creative Director to establish and maintain a robust brand identity within the K-12 education sector.
  • Digital Strategy: Design and implement digital marketing initiatives to enhance lead generation and brand visibility; improve website functionality and user experience.
  • Content Strategy: Oversee the creation of engaging content that supports marketing efforts; partner with internal and external collaborators for content production.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market research to identify trends, competitor actions, and opportunities; leverage data-driven insights to shape marketing strategies.
  • Performance Metrics: Collaborate with the technology team to establish effective analytics and reporting systems to evaluate marketing campaign success; utilize data to refine marketing approaches.
  • Financial Oversight: Develop and manage the marketing budget efficiently; ensure optimal resource allocation to meet marketing objectives.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Work with internal and external partners to align marketing strategies with organizational goals; provide regular updates on marketing performance.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related discipline; advanced degree preferred.
  • A minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in marketing roles.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a marketing team.
  • Strong understanding of the educational landscape, including state and vendor procedures, customer segmentation, and the K-12 sales cycle.
  • Familiarity with the challenges and opportunities in writing instruction is advantageous.
  • Expertise in digital marketing techniques, including content marketing, SEO, social media, email marketing, and online advertising.
  • Experience with marketing automation tools and analytics platforms.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies that align with organizational objectives.
  • Capability to assess and analyze the effectiveness of marketing initiatives.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and identify innovative marketing opportunities.
  • Strong aptitude for creating compelling and creative marketing campaigns.

Compensation

The salary range for this position is $160,000 - $175,000, based on experience.
