We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Life Science Research Professional 2 to join our team at the Stanford University School of Medicine. As a key member of our research group, you will be responsible for conducting complex experiments, analyzing results, and contributing to the development of new research protocols.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct independent research projects, making recommendations on experimental design and research direction to the principal investigator.
- Conduct complex experiments to gather data for major research projects, interpreting and analyzing results to inform research direction.
- Develop new research protocols, applying knowledge of scientific principles and literature to inform research design.
- Participate in multidisciplinary teams, contributing to the preparation of papers for publication and presenting ongoing work to colleagues and academic conferences.
- Oversee supply and equipment budgets, ensuring compliance with regulations and maintaining accurate records.
- Supervise staff or students as needed, providing technical guidance and support.
- Bachelor's degree in a related scientific field and two years of relevant work experience, or Master's degree in a related scientific field.
- Comprehensive understanding of scientific principles, general computer skills, and ability to quickly learn and master computer programs and scientific applications.
- Strong analytical skills, excellent judgment, and ability to maintain detailed records of experiments and outcomes.
This position may require working in close proximity to blood-borne pathogens, working with or being in areas where hazardous materials and/or infectious diseases are present, and performing tasks that require the use of personal protective equipment.
