Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Life Science Research Professional to join our team at Stanford University. The successful candidate will lead complex research projects, design and execute experiments, and analyze data to advance our understanding of metabolic disease.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and execute research projects, including background research, experimental design, and data analysis.
  • Develop and test new protocols, and evaluate various approaches.
  • Perform complex experiments, maintain detailed records, and analyze and interpret research data.
  • Prepare progress reports and contribute to the preparation of papers for publication.
  • Present ongoing work and findings to colleagues at academic conferences.

Requirements:

  • Ph.D. in biochemistry, molecular biology, cell biology, or related science field.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated success through first-author publications or other quantifiable achievements.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively on research projects.

Working Conditions:

  • May require working in close proximity to blood-borne pathogens.
  • May require work in an environment where animals are used for teaching and research.
  • Position may at times require the employee to work with or be in areas where hazardous materials and/or infectious diseases are present.
