Job Summary

Stanford University is seeking a highly skilled Research Professional to join our team in the Life Sciences department. As a key member of our research team, you will be responsible for conducting complex research projects, analyzing data, and contributing to the development of new research protocols.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct independent research projects, including designing experiments, collecting and analyzing data, and interpreting results.
  • Collaborate with principal investigators and other research staff to develop and implement research protocols.
  • Develop and maintain detailed records of experiments and outcomes.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary teams to advance research projects.
  • Contribute to the preparation of papers for publication and present research findings to colleagues and academic conferences.
  • Oversee supply and equipment budgets and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Supervise and train staff or students as needed, providing technical guidance and support.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related scientific field and two years of relevant work experience, or Master's degree in a related scientific field.
  • Comprehensive understanding of scientific principles and general computer skills.
  • Strong analytical skills, excellent judgment, and ability to work under deadlines.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to maintain detailed records.
Working Conditions
  • May require working in close proximity to bloodborne pathogens.
  • May require work in an environment where animals are used for teaching and research.
  • Position may at times require the employee to work with or be in areas where hazardous materials and/or infectious diseases are present.
