Key Responsibilities
  • Systems engineering and prioritization: Lead the management, architecture, and technical execution of multiple small drone system products across various business lines.
  • Technical management: Define milestones, balance short-term and long-term needs, and manage risks to ensure successful delivery.
  • Team leadership: Align team priorities, manage and escalate risks, and assist in creation of customer, executive review, and product-team materials.
  • Technical expertise: Provide technical guidance on system design, development, and testing, including aerodynamics, seeker technology, IMUs, control actuation servos, modeling, and simulation.
Requirements
  • Experience in a senior role leading system design and development from initial concept through test and delivery to customers.
  • Basic understanding of aerodynamics, seeker technology, IMUs, control actuation servos, modeling, and simulation.
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, such as robotics, physics, mechanical, electrical, or software engineering, or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
  • Experience with data analysis, rapid prototyping, and early-stage customer deployment.
  • Hands-on build and prototyping of complex robotic systems.
  • Familiarity with concepts of mechatronic design, firmware, software system design, sensor physics, tracking, and calibration.
  • Ability to engage technically with mechanical, electrical, firmware, sensors, and robotics software leads.
  • Ability to lead a cross-functional team through design trades while meeting program deadlines.
  • High ownership, mission-oriented mentality, and a sincere commitment to a positive, inclusive, and collaborative culture.
  • Ability to obtain and hold a U.S. Top Secret security clearance.
  • Ability to travel as required for test planning and execution.
