POSITION OVERVIEW

The Lead Systems Architect will oversee the Tactical Intelligence Targeting Access Node (TITAN) initiative, a cutting-edge intelligence ground station designed to streamline the Army's access to and processing of vast amounts of Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) data. We seek a seasoned architect with a strong background in command and control platforms and ruggedized systems.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to define architectural frameworks and develop innovative solutions that fulfill client requirements.
  • Utilize Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) techniques to delineate interfaces among system components, ensuring seamless integration and efficient development workflows.
  • Create comprehensive system architectures that incorporate all essential components and subsystems, adopting a holistic approach.
  • Identify and articulate key capabilities and performance metrics for the hardware system, aligning with client expectations and industry benchmarks.
  • Break down system functionalities into modular components to facilitate efficient design and development.
  • Conduct thorough assessments and provide informed recommendations regarding potential external technology partnerships or vendors to expedite hardware development.
  • Implement detailed technical planning, system integration, verification and validation processes, as well as cost and risk analyses.
  • Perform functional analysis, timeline assessments, and detailed trade studies to translate client requirements into hardware and software specifications.
  • Oversee testing and validation of hardware designs to ensure quality, reliability, and compliance with industry standards.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline with a minimum of 5 years of relevant professional or military experience in MBSE or Systems Engineering, or a Master's degree with 3 years of related experience.
  • Proven experience with C4ISR platforms and integrating ruggedized thermal, power, and mechanical systems.
  • Strong ability to manage stakeholder expectations while prioritizing key program initiatives such as schedule, cost, and quality.
  • Familiarity with Cameo Enterprise Architecture / Teamcenter and a solid understanding of various architecture frameworks (e.g., DoDAF).
  • Experience in hardware verification, testing, and validation methodologies.
  • Background in automotive or heavy-vehicle equipment is advantageous.
  • Active DoD Top Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain SCI access, with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled in Continuous Evaluation.
