Assist the Store Manager in ensuring the successful implementation of inventory control processes, quality assurance standards, and effective inventory management practices. Oversee merchandising strategies, including product displays and rotation, while supporting the management team in maintaining optimal store operations and delivering exceptional customer service.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Exhibit outstanding customer service, adhering to company standards.
- Manage merchandising within the department to align with corporate guidelines.
- Ensure all products are properly labeled with SKUs and pricing.
- Prepare promotional items before the commencement of sales events.
- Display sale signage for promotional activities.
- Receive and process shipments for the department as required.
- Restock merchandise to guarantee sufficient availability for customers.
- Support cashiers and serve as a backup when necessary.
- Maintain a clean and safe shopping environment in the department.
- Engage in daily communication with management and team members.
- Address and rectify any issues related to signage, displays, and safety.
- Conduct regular inventory counts in accordance with departmental schedules.
- Complete daily inventory checks.
- Assist with inventory assessments in other departments or locations as needed.
- Demonstrate consistent and reliable attendance.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by the supervising manager.
- Associate degree or equivalent experience from a two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year of related experience and/or training; or a combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read and interpret safety guidelines, operational instructions, and procedural manuals.
- Capable of writing routine reports and correspondence.
- Effective verbal communication skills for addressing groups of customers or employees.
- Ability to understand and apply mathematical concepts such as probability and statistics.
- Proficient in using fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions in practical scenarios.
- Ability to apply common sense to follow written, oral, or diagrammatic instructions.
- Capable of solving problems involving multiple concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Adept at interpreting various forms of instructions.
- Integrity and sound judgment.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Attention to detail and time management skills.
- Exceptional customer service capabilities.
- Preferred experience in distribution or warehousing.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex issues to achieve desired outcomes.
- Familiarity with Windows-based applications is advantageous.
- Experience with inventory management systems is a plus.
- Comprehensive knowledge of company products and services.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn to operate all store-level equipment and tools.
