Job OverviewPOSITION SUMMARY:

The Youth Engagement Coordinator is a full-time role focused on fostering meaningful connections with adolescents and enhancing their involvement within the community. This position entails collaboration with various teams to ensure the needs and voices of young individuals are prioritized.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Community Engagement:

  • Act as a representative for youth, advocating for their interests and needs;
  • Assist in executing the organization’s vision for excellence in educational experiences;
  • Facilitate leadership development opportunities for young individuals;
  • Establish and nurture relationships with youth and their families.

Direct Interaction with Youth:

  • Conduct educational sessions for upperclassmen on designated evenings;
  • Organize and lead weekly youth group meetings;
  • Design and implement elective programs for middle and high school students;
  • Coordinate community service initiatives for adolescents;
  • Plan and execute monthly social events for teens;
  • Oversee the training and support of youth assistants;
  • Supervise off-site events for youth groups.

Leadership Development:

  • Collaborate with youth leadership teams to provide mentorship and guidance;
  • Support teen leaders in event planning and program development.

Event Planning:

  • Organize and facilitate retreats and trips for youth, ensuring engaging and inclusive experiences;
  • Coordinate logistics for various youth events throughout the year.

Family Engagement:

  • Build strong relationships with families to foster community support;
  • Participate in family-oriented programs and respond to inquiries.

Professional Development:

  • Engage in regular meetings with leadership to enhance skills and strategies;
  • Participate in training sessions and team meetings.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Support various community programs and initiatives;
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
