Role Summary

As a Web Application Engineer within our Automation & Infrastructure (A&I) division, you will play a crucial role in the design and development of tailored web-based solutions that enhance operational efficiency and address intricate business challenges. This position covers the entire development process, from requirement gathering to deployment and ongoing support of applications. Key Contributions

Being part of the Automation & Infrastructure (A&I) division as a Web Application Engineer provides a unique opportunity to significantly influence our organization's operational efficiency and innovation. You will be tasked with creating advanced web-based applications that tackle business challenges and promote operational enhancements. Utilizing your knowledge in both frontend and backend technologies, you will help in developing scalable solutions that improve our internal systems. Your contributions will not only optimize processes but also enable the discovery and implementation of new automation strategies. Primary Responsibilities:

  • Application Design & Development: Create high-quality, innovative applications designed for internal users, improving operational efficiency.
  • Code Craftsmanship: Develop efficient, maintainable code that adheres to team standards and best practices.
  • Software Enhancement: Refine and troubleshoot existing software solutions to address performance issues and enhance functionality.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate closely with fellow engineers to plan, prioritize, and achieve project milestones within set timelines.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Educational Credentials: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Professional Experience: At least 2 years of experience in developing and deploying software applications, with a solid technical foundation.
  • Web Development Proficiency: Skilled in creating data-driven web applications with a strong understanding of HTTP, XML, JSON, and related technologies.
  • JavaScript Expertise: Familiarity with modern frameworks such as Angular, RxJS, Redux, and TypeScript.
  • User Experience Design: Ability to design intuitive and effective user experiences using contemporary UI libraries and custom components.
  • Backend Knowledge: Understanding of backend frameworks (e.g., Express, NestJS) is a plus.
  • API Development: Experience in building and integrating RESTful APIs.
  • Version Control: Proficient in Git and version control methodologies.
  • Database Management: Knowledge of relational databases and SQL (e.g., PostgreSQL, Oracle, MySQL).
  • Linux Proficiency: Experience in Linux environments (e.g., CentOS, Ubuntu).
  • Additional Skills: Familiarity with Docker and scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python, Perl, PHP) is advantageous.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities with a creative approach to complex issues.
  • Prioritization Skills: Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively across diverse products and environments.
  • Teamwork: Excellent collaboration skills, capable of working across various teams and projects.
