Role Overview:

As a Senior Web Developer, my focus is on crafting technological solutions that align with our clients' business objectives. Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop user-friendly websites that facilitate easy editing for novice administrators and ensure straightforward maintenance.
  • Write code that meets project specifications, primarily utilizing HTML, CSS/LESS/SASS, XML/JSON, AJAX, JavaScript, and PHP.
  • Enhance Bootstrap or similar frameworks for efficient theming and customization.
  • Design, create, and manage relational databases using MySQL.
  • Collaborate with creative teams and project managers to determine optimal programming practices for each project.
  • Conduct quality assurance and testing of web programming to guarantee expected functionality across various browsers and devices, resolving compatibility issues.
  • Follow version control protocols, accessibility standards, and best practices for an inclusive user experience.
  • Troubleshoot development challenges and collaborate with cross-functional teams to address issues and assess the impact of development requests on the project.
  • Stay updated with industry technologies and research emerging trends, sharing knowledge with the team.
  • Implement SEO best practices to ensure websites are optimized for search engines, including meta tags, headers, and URLs.
  • Enhance website performance by improving load times, reducing server response times, and optimizing images and code.
  • Create and maintain thorough documentation for code, processes, and workflows to support knowledge sharing and onboarding.

Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of current front-end development techniques and experience with various CMS systems.
  • Ability to maintain a holistic view of projects, avoiding inline styles and compartmentalizing code blocks effectively.
  • Experience in PHP, HTML, XML, JavaScript, and a foundational understanding of database design is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with responsive design implementation.
  • Solid understanding of user experience principles for both web and mobile platforms.
  • Knowledge of Git and Git flow, along with standard versioning practices.
  • Experience with custom themes on WordPress CMS and Laravel.
  • Ability to translate design files from Sketch, XD, and Figma into functional website code.
  • Empathy for client needs, translating them into exceptional results, and effectively communicating technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • A robust portfolio showcasing a variety of design and development projects, demonstrating proficiency in converting designs into functional websites.

The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 5 years of professional experience in a development role. Portfolio submission is required for consideration.
