Role Overview:

My focus is on crafting technological solutions that fulfill the business objectives of our clients. Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop websites that facilitate easy editing for novice administrators and straightforward maintenance.
  • Create code that meets project specifications, primarily utilizing HTML, CSS/LESS/SASS, XML/JSON, AJAX, JavaScript, and PHP.
  • Enhance Bootstrap or similar frameworks for efficient theming and customization of code.
  • Design, establish, and manage relational databases using MySQL.
  • Collaborate with creative, UX, and project management teams to determine optimal programming practices for each project.
  • Conduct quality assurance and testing of web programming to ensure expected functionality across various browsers and devices, eliminating compatibility issues.
  • Follow version control protocols, accessibility standards, and best practices for an inclusive user experience.
  • Troubleshoot development challenges and engage with cross-functional teams to discuss issues and the implications of their specific development requests on the project.
  • Stay updated with industry technologies and research emerging trends, sharing that knowledge willingly.
  • Implement SEO best practices to ensure websites are optimized for search engines, including meta tags, headers, and URLs.
  • Enhance website performance by improving load times, reducing server response times, and optimizing images and code.
  • Create and maintain thorough documentation for code, processes, and workflows to support knowledge sharing and onboarding.

Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of contemporary front-end development techniques and the ability to configure and customize various CMS platforms.
  • Capability to see the broader perspective and avoid inline styles while compartmentalizing code blocks effectively.
  • Experience in PHP, HTML, XML, JavaScript, along with a foundational understanding of database design.
  • Familiarity with implementing responsive design.
  • Robust understanding of user experience for both web and mobile platforms.
  • Knowledge of Git and Git flow, along with standard versioning practices.
  • Experience with custom themes on WordPress CMS and Laravel.
  • Ability to translate design files from Sketch, XD, and Figma into functional website code.
  • Empathy for client needs, translating them into exceptional results, and effectively communicating technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating a variety of design and development projects, showcasing proficiency in converting designs into functional websites.
