Position: Administrative Assistant (CAF Yearbook)

Key Responsibilities:

Under the supervision of the Cadet Activities Fund (CAF) Manager, this role serves as the primary advisor for the Tide Rips Yearbook. This is a year-round position supported by the CAF program, responsible for managing the daily operations of the publication.

The incumbent will:

  • Oversee a team of cadet editors and a 25-member cadet yearbook staff, ensuring effective training and collaboration.
  • Coordinate deadlines for proof-reading and final submissions, ensuring all production timelines are met.
  • Ensure quality assurance for yearbook design and content, including proofreading and editing all pages prior to publication.
  • Manage the yearbook budget, obtaining necessary approvals for any additional expenses beyond the base contract.
  • Act as a liaison between various stakeholders, including Academy administration, alumni, and cadet staff, facilitating regular updates on yearbook progress.
  • Engage with external photography and advertising service providers to ensure quality and timeliness of deliverables.
  • Submit articles related to the yearbook process for publication in the CGA Alumni Bulletin.
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Two years of experience in office administration.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in desktop publishing software, as well as Microsoft Word and Excel.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or equivalent experience.
  • Prior experience with yearbook production.

Additional Information:
