Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Correction Captain to join our team at the Madison Correctional Institution. As a Correction Captain, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the institution, ensuring the safety and security of inmates and staff, and providing guidance and support to correctional officers.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations of the institution, including inmate supervision, security, and programming
- Provide guidance and support to correctional officers, including training and coaching
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure the safety and security of inmates and staff
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure effective communication and coordination
- Monitor and report on institutional performance, including safety and security metrics
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in corrections or a related field
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make sound decisions under pressure
