Position Overview

The Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) role is vital in delivering financial insights and support to facilitate strategic decision-making. This position encompasses budgeting, data analytics, forecasting, financial analysis, and performance reporting, all aimed at maintaining the bank's financial stability and alignment with its business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the annual budgeting process, including preparation, consolidation, forecasting, and review of departmental budgets.
  • Collaborate with department leaders to gather inputs and ensure alignment with the bank's strategic objectives.
  • Monitor and report on budget variances, providing actionable insights and recommendations for corrective measures.
  • Develop and enhance existing financial models to support strategic initiatives and long-term planning.
  • Prepare regular forecasts and projections to anticipate financial outcomes and facilitate informed decision-making.
  • Conduct scenario analyses to assess the financial implications of various business decisions and market conditions.
  • Analyze financial performance by collecting, monitoring, and studying data; recommending actions based on findings.
  • Prepare and present financial reports, including variance analysis, KPI tracking, and management dashboards.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics to evaluate overall business performance.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to senior management based on financial analysis and trends.
  • Support cost-saving initiatives and efficiency improvements across the organization.
  • Participate in strategic planning sessions, providing financial input to support the bank's growth and profitability.
  • Develop financial tools and models to assess new business initiatives.
  • Conduct competitive analysis and market research to guide strategic decisions.
  • Assist in mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic projects as needed.
  • Work closely with finance, accounting, and other cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely financial information.
  • Communicate financial insights and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing necessary financial documentation and explanations.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis, preferably within the banking or financial services sector.
  • Strong proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting.
  • Advanced knowledge of financial software and tools, including Excel, SQL, and financial reporting systems.
  • Expertise in business reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau, and Excel.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, capable of presenting complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Ability to produce clear and understandable reports and dashboards.
  • Knowledge of banking regulations and compliance standards is advantageous.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work both collaboratively in a team environment and independently in a hybrid structure.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; MBA or relevant certification (e.g., CFA, CPA) preferred.
