The successful candidate will leverage their analytical skills to assess and interpret financial information, linking it to emerging business trends and challenges. This individual will be adept at communicating significant findings and themes to organizational leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate historical and current financial data to provide recommendations for profit optimization
  • Regularly analyze financial metrics through both standard and special reports
  • Interpret financial data to identify evolving trends and their implications on key performance indicators
  • Present financial insights that highlight business challenges to management
  • Initiate opportunities for enhancing business processes
  • Facilitate weekly/monthly financial closing, planning, forecasting, and budgeting using financial systems and Excel
  • Engage in various audit processes
  • Oversee, maintain, and reconcile fixed assets
  • Conduct monthly product margin analysis to pinpoint performance drivers and variances from targets
  • Prepare internal targeted cost analyses to support ongoing improvement initiatives aimed at increasing margins across product lines
  • Utilize robust financial knowledge and business insight to develop financial models, draw conclusions, and make recommendations that yield results, drive enhancements, and influence leadership decisions

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Approximately 3 years of relevant experience
  • Familiarity with cost accounting practices in a manufacturing context
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel
  • Understanding of GAAP accounting standards
