About the Role

Hofstra University is seeking a highly motivated and organized professional to serve as a Program Manager in our Continuing Education department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of administrative tasks, including human resources, marketing, finance, and reception duties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Recruitment and Onboarding: Assist with the recruitment process for seasonal employees, including organizing and screening applications and resumes, and scheduling interviews.
  • Employee Records and HR Support: Maintain accurate employee records and provide HR-related support, including paperwork and documentation.
  • Marketing and Communications: Support marketing initiatives by drafting and distributing marketing materials, including presentations, flyers, and promotional materials.
  • Event Coordination: Help organize, coordinate, and attend various marketing events and campaigns.
  • Finance and Accounting: Prepare and review finance paperwork to support the Continuing Education programs, including invoices, contracts, and related materials.
  • Student Support: Respond to inquiries about Adult and Youth programs and enroll students in the registration system.
  • Project Management: Coordinate and implement miscellaneous tasks and projects to support the smooth operation of Continuing Education and Hofstra Summer Camps.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 1-3 years of administrative experience, preferably in a multi-functional capacity.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications.
  • Flexibility and willingness to take on new challenges and learn new skills.
