Job Title: Program Coordinator Life is Precious Long Island

Comunilife Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Program Coordinator to lead the Life is Precious program in Long Island, NY. The successful candidate will be responsible for directing the overall operations of the program, including management, planning, program development, implementation, monitoring, and budgeting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assume responsibility for the continuous direction and day-to-day operations of the Life is Precious program.
  • Provide supervisory conferences with program staff and maintain relevant documentation.
  • Supervise all program activities and scheduling to be implemented by Case Managers and Creative Art Therapist consultants.
  • Develop and implement programs that stimulate the interest and are relevant and age-appropriate for young adults.
  • Ensure that a system of reporting is used in assessing the efficiency and effectiveness of the program staff.
  • Ensure that all program participants are receiving mental health services.
  • Ensure that the staff receives all the necessary support via workshops regarding the management of grief while maintaining professional focus.
  • Triage referrals and patient assignments to staff; monitor quality of clinical service and maximize number of individuals served.
  • Track outcome studies and monitor patient satisfaction surveys.
  • Collaborate with various community agencies, public officials, and organizations.
  • Supervise all recruitment efforts and ensure timely completion of all staff performance evaluations.
  • Meet on a regular basis with the Vice President of Programs to discuss accomplishments and administrative matters.

Education and Experience Requirement(s)

A Master's Degree in Social Work or Psychology is required; LCAT preferred. Three (3) to five (5) years of clinical supervisory and administrative experience. Clinical experience working with children, adolescents, and adults. Bilingual in Spanish/English a plus.
