Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Cardiac Monitor Technician to join our team at the Commonwealth of Virginia. As a Cardiac Monitor Technician, you will be responsible for monitoring patient status via electronic systems and notifying appropriate staff of variances and alarms according to departmental policy. You will also document patient data in a timely manner according to departmental standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor patients using electronic systems.
  • Identify variances and initiate follow-up actions.
  • Document patient data.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Education: High School Graduate or Equivalent required.

Experience: No experience required.

Licensure: ECG Certification with the American Board of Cardiovascular Medicine or National Telemetry Tech Certification with the National Telemetry Association required within 12 months of hire date.

Physical Demands:

The job requires sitting for prolonged periods, frequent bending/stooping, reaching (overhead, extensive, repetitive). Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; May be exposed to fumes, chemicals, and cold.
