Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Electromechanical Systems Engineer to lead a mechanical team supporting spaceflight instrument development at Peraton. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the analysis and design of space flight control systems, including hands-on work with flight hardware, control/structure interaction, and performance in the presence of jitter.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design, development, and testing of mechanical systems for spaceflight instruments
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure mechanical systems meet performance and safety requirements
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications and test reports
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers
Requirements
  • Minimum BS Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics from an accredited institution with at least 12 years of related aerospace experience
  • Experience in the design and development of powered mechanical devices
  • Secret level Security Clearance

Target Salary Range

$112,000 - $179,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
