Job Title: Clerk III

Our Health and Specialty Care System (HSCS) is comprised of nine psychiatric hospitals and one youth residential psychiatric center, providing state-of-the-art treatment and recovery-oriented care.

The Clerk III reports to the state hospital systems business operations office and provides administrative, financial, and cashier support services. This role involves advanced clerical and financial work, including cashier and mail processing, and coordinating clerical activities such as requesting materials and office supplies. The Clerk III must have a working knowledge of HHSC rules and facility policies and procedures, and demonstrate excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:
Receive, sort, and distribute cash and supporting documentation
Maintain accurate financial files and records
Assist in storing and tracking cash transactions
Prepare daily receipts and bank deposits
Provide training to new employees

Requirements:
Knowledge of clerical and financial procedures
Proficiency in Microsoft applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook
Ability to communicate effectively and train others
