Role Summary: The Bilingual Adult Education Facilitator plays a crucial role in our Workforce Development and Refugee Services initiatives, which assist over 3,800 low-income community members each year. This position focuses on empowering individuals facing employment barriers, including immigrants, refugees, and those with limited English proficiency, by providing tailored educational and training opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Promote understanding of essential skills and competencies required for success in a global job market.
  • Design and implement customized training programs to align with specific employer needs.
  • Collaborate with employers to facilitate guest speaker sessions, site visits, and experiential learning opportunities for clients.
  • Develop and refine educational materials and lesson plans tailored to client requirements.
  • Conduct workshops on vital topics such as tenant rights, public benefits, financial literacy, and healthcare access.
  • Stay updated on instructional methods and materials to ensure curriculum relevance.
  • Ensure lesson plans align with core program objectives.
  • Assess clients' abilities to ensure proper placement in educational programs.
  • Prepare and distribute instructional resources for classroom and homework use.
  • Deliver engaging classroom instruction on relevant subjects.
  • Manage classroom dynamics to enhance client learning experiences.
  • Evaluate and document client progress through written assessments.
  • Maintain accurate records of client progress and program data.
  • Communicate effectively with CAMBA staff regarding potential barriers to client success.
  • Assist clients in enhancing their resumes and job application materials.
  • Refer clients to additional CAMBA services to address barriers to success.
  • Track daily client attendance and ensure accurate reporting.
  • Conduct case conferences with career advisors to support job placement and retention.
  • Provide regular updates on training completion and client outcomes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree and at least one year of relevant experience or equivalent qualifications.

Additional Requirements:

  • Hands-on, interactive teaching style that fosters participation.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to varying work schedules.
  • Experience working with immigrant, refugee, and asylee populations.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Ukrainian or Russian is essential.

Compensation: Competitive salary range of $46,000-$55,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Status: Full-time position (35 hours per week)
